The C Word-Chemotherapy

Hi everyone,

This morning and yesterday,  I had a few calls and some emails in relation to the article that was published yesterday in one of our national papers here. This newspaper article is basically bringing to light a study that has shown chemotherapy to spread breast cancer. How would you feel if you knew there are other options that do not have to involve chemotherapy?

Generally, chemotherapy is used extensively in the ‘treatment’ of cancer. Chemotherapy literally translated means, chemical therapy. Chemotherapy is used in the ‘treatment’ of cancer due to it’s toxic effect on cells, specifically on the growth of cells. My blog here explains cancer. The recently published article in The Science Translational Medicine, July 2017, is a starting point for people to question what options are provided when one is faced with cancer ‘treatment’.

Did you know that before any cancer treatment programme, we are supposed to be informed of all our options? So that we as the individual can make an INFORMED choice. In clinic,  I see people with cancer and not one has said to date that they are given all the options. What are these options? Before sharing this, I would like to remind us about the 5 year old boy whose family escaped with him to Prague for proton therapy for his brain cancer. Yet this therapy was not available here in the UK? His family WERE aware of other options, which were not provided by their oncologist. Due to this proton therapy, this boy lives today. In London they are now building a hospital that will provide photon therapy. So what I am encouraging here is to be proactive, get informed and make decisions based on knowledge. If you are still not sure get a second opinion, a third opinion until you feel you have been provided with enough information to make that INFORMED choice.

When I was in the depths of my PhD studies, looking into cancer suppressor genes as well as cancer trigger genes (oncogenes), I never questioned chemotherapy, not once. No one else in the oncology department did. The stress of getting funding was heavier than the stress of finding a ‘cure for cancer’. Keeping the department going was a common theme in most oncology research departments. Most of my PhD, was funded by a Pharmaceutical company, after all I was researching their drugs into the prevention of cancer. This takes me to the ‘pink cancer movement’, I would encourage everyone to look into the cancer charities before doing a marathon for such a charity, or any other event. I will not go ‘pink for cancer’,  as I want to ensure my money goes to charities that make a difference such as the Macmillan Cancer Support, or cancer research that is looking at the whole person, so do check this out for yourself (more below).

Did you know that with time and research more and more scientists are against chemotherapy, as they feel it is just too toxic and actually unethical? Chemotherapy ‘treatment’ is becoming more controversial than ever, even amongst oncologists. Let me explain why. But before you read on, if you are not really sure about what exactly is cancer, here is a blog on cancer.

So once cancer is diagnosed chemotherapy is a common option, in some cases it is the only option provided. What is chemotherapy? It is actually a group of chemicals, also known as toxins that impact cell growth. These chemicals are made in such a way as to target the cell replication cycle, in other words the growth of the cell. Most of the chemotherapy drugs prevent DNA synthesis. If DNA synthesis is blocked/hindered then the growth of a cell is blocked/hindered. This sounds pretty clever and life saving right? But what we did not take seriously when chemotherapy was introduced is that the chemotherapy cannot differentiate between the cancer cells and the normal healthy cells, the normal cells that also INCLUDE our immune system cells. This is why one experiences chemotherapy side effects such as hair loss (hair is rapidly growing), digestive upsets, (as the gut lining is replaced every 24 hours), changes in the nails, in other words any part of the body that consists of highly replicating/growing cells will also be targeted by the chemotherapy. The nausea (liver stress) and and other side effects such as vomiting are the body’s way of purging the chemicals.

This article shows that chemotherapy, despite reducing the size of the breast cancer, actually increases the spread of breast cancer cells to other parts of the body. The spread of the primary cancer (in this case breast cancer) is known as metastasis . The physiology behind metastasis is insidiously clever and dealing with metastasis is not easy, if anything it is a huge burden on the body. There are drugs that are made to prevent blood vessel formation around cancers so to prevent metastasis. A cancer cannot spread or grow without a blood supply, so this is another target for cancer treatment. However, if chemotherapy is being shown to spread cancer, are we not fighting fire with fire?

This research should not be taken lightly, as it is showing that chemotherapy is actually more toxic than we originally thought and if anything, as practitioners we have to ask the question, do the benefits out weight the side effects? Do they?

So this new discovery of chemotherapy increasing the spread of breast cancer begs the question ‘now what?’ Do we have a plan B?  More than a decade of my adult life was spent in laboratories doing research in oncology and we did not look beyond invasive methods.

The good news is, there are other options!  You may not have heard of them or you may have, but like some of my cancer clients, you may have been told that there is no place for such ‘snake medicine’ or that they are useless and don’t waste your time. Although these options may not YET be embraced in main-stream medicine (it is only a matter of time before these approaches will have to be accepted), people are dying from the chemotherapy NOT the cancer. Scientists already  know this and hence, the divide between the science world of cancer treatment.  Even doctors know this.

I want to introduce you to the Banerji Protocols. Dr Banerji and his amazing team of homeopathic doctors in India, run a very busy clinic and see a thousand patients a day. They have cases after cases of people cured from cancer as well as many other diseases. Their success rate is beyond what we see with chemotherapy with NO side effects. Why do they see this? Read on and you may also want to watch the film-documentary.

Their work has been published as well as recognised by Institutions such as the John Hopkins Medical Centre, Columbia University, Anderson Cancer Centre but most people have not heard about this. So if you are not aware of the role of homeopathy in cancer let alone in any other disease, here are some scientific published articles that show cancer cells being killed by ultra-diluted medicine (ultra diluted medicine has no side effects and is also known as homeopathy).

1.  Here is an article published in 2003 in the International Journal of Oncology ( a well reputed scientific journal) partly authored by Dr Banerji. This article shows that a homeopathic remedy Ruta, when added to brain cancer cells causes death of the brain cancer cells BUT proliferation of the immune cells!

But hold on, did you just read that this research shows that a homeopathic remedy killed the brain cancer cells and at the same time boosted the immune cells?  Is this possible, whereby a homeopathic remedy actually triggers cancer cells to commit suicide (scientific term is apoptosis) and ALSO boosts the immune cells? YES, it has been shown and proven and published. Now print the article out and take it to your oncologist. Save it, tag it, share it.

2.  Another article published in 2010 in the International Journal of Oncology again jointly authored by the Banerjis, shows that ultra- diluted remedies proved to be toxic to the breast cancer cells, killing the cancer cells. These remedies included carcinosin, phytolacca, conium and thuja.

Yes, again you read this correctly, sceintific research showing homeopathy kills breast cancer cells. These remedies are not toxic to the body. Save it, tag it, share it.

3. This article published in the Journal of Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine, 2011, shows that a homeopathic remedy Secale Cornutum ameliorated skin cancer. The study was set up to work out the mechanism by which homeopathic remedies  have cancer killing effects. So, it is already published and accepted that homeopathic remedies are having a toxic effect on cancer cells (and not on normal healthy cells). In this study,  the scientists found that the homeopathic remedy acts at the gene regulatory level, in other words they have an impact on resetting that glitch! (want to know about the glitch, read it here) .

Having studied molecular biology at PhD level in relation to cancer, it totally baffles me why these published articles (by the way, there are plenty more) are not publicised all over the place. Should we not be shouting this from the roof tops? Let’s share this education with our doctors and oncologists and those that have ‘cancer’.

If you get nothing from this blog but the message that the ‘pink cancer movement’ is NOT helping cancer research but perpetuating the fear of cancer and keeping MAJORITY of the money within their own ‘organisation’, then my blog has done its job. Raise money, run marathons, do it with all your heart and soul but just ensure your money is going to real research that will make a difference.

Imagine if the ‘pink movement’ actually shifted to the ‘true cancer research movement’. Want to make a difference? Have a dollar or a pound to donate? Here is a documentary-film that is all about homeopathy and the real difference it is making in people’s lives. The Banerjis are in this film. I am excited to have this film coming to the UK. You can donate here. More importantly, remember there are options when faced with ‘cancer’. Speak with your doctor, your oncologist. Print out the articles above and take them with you, share them with people you may know with cancer. Let us not be afraid of the C-word, whatever shape or form this word comes in from, cancer, chemotherapy, cytotoxic, chemicals through to carcinogens.

Share, spread the word, you may just save a life or two.

To health!

Khush
