Surrounded by a number of close and not-so-close relatives, I can't tell you the number of times they have shared their stories about morning sickness - the nausea, the vomiting, the lethargy. But whenever I dared mention that the early stages of pregnancy don't have to be about surviving symptoms, I'm met with a knowing look and a "just wait..." smile.
