The Body Scan

Dear All

With World Cup fever reaching a crescendo, even if you're country did not win the competition, let me offer you some welcome relief to bring down the temperature. Introducing the body scan. The body scan gives a picture of what is happening in the body overall.

The test itself involves energetically scanning various systems/organs of the body using muscle testing. This allows the practitioner to look at the energetic health of the organs (such as the adrenals, thyroid, liver, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, lungs etc) and the health of the various systems of the body (such as circulation, endocrine, lymph etc).

So you may be asking, well what has this body scan got to offer me?

OK, it’s a valid question….even BEFORE an individual becomes symptomatically ill, the health or rather the energetics of the body’s organs and systems are imbalanced. Such an imbalance can be totally silent physically until ‘the straw breaks the camel’s back’ so to speak. For example, an individual with chronic fatigue syndrome may be told by many health professionals that the blood tests and/or urine tests (or any other test along those lines) are ‘within normal range’, however a body scan would show the imbalances. The body scan also allows us to fine tune your supplemental needs which are matched exactly to the body’s requirements allowing the body to repair and heal effectively and efficiently.

In today’s society, too many practitioners be they traditional or dare I say alternative, may be ‘complementary’ (sounds more PC) still use allopathic medicine in their clinical approach. What is the difference between dealing with symptoms with pharmaceutical drugs or natural remedies? Only one comes to mind and that is ‘less side-effects with the latter approach’.

There is no one approach to dealing with a particular condition. Let’s use an example here such as arthritis. One person may have arthritis due to the liver being over burdened with toxins, such as pesticides, household chemicals and refined foods, whereas another person may have arthritis due to a viral infection that has embedded itself in the deeper tissues (not showing up in blood tests either). So popping pills like glucosamine chondroitin sulphate and omega 3 fats along with a low fat diet will only address the superficial layers (which are the symptoms of arthritis). In doing so the individual may initially feel better to only get worse with new symptoms as time progresses.

Why?... you may well ask, because the actual cause is not being addressed. One only has to come off their supplements/medication to experience this. Not that I recommend coming off any medication or supplementation without the advise of your primary care practitioner. In order to get to the ‘nitty-gritty’ of such health issues we use the body scan technique.

In a nutshell some of the benefits of this body scan are:

  1. Working uniquely with the individual’s needs
  2. Matching exact remedies/nutritionals specific to the individual’s requirements
  3. 'Allergy' testing; such as food, pollen, chemicals
  4. Helping the body to unload the toxins
  5. Getting to the ‘root’ of the health issue at hand
  6. Avoids any guess work on the practitioner’s behalf

To great health!
