About Me
So you want to know about me? Let me start by telling you that from the age of 5, I was always fascinated by the human body. You may ask how can anyone be interested in the human body from such an early age.
Well my first encounter with the wonders of this body that we all have was when my sister, at the age of three, fell over and cut her knee. All I remember was the copious amount of blood that gushed out from her wound. I mean how much longer could she have bled without running dry? Was there some kind of a well of blood inside her?
From this incidence on, there were many like this (not necessarily involving pain) that resulted in me doing a Bachelor's in Pharmacology, a Master's in Toxicology and Pathology as well as a PhD in cancer. Once I had completed my PhD I decided to go and work for a health clinic in London. I wanted to work more with people than with test-tubes. I gained a passion to educate people on the importance of a healthy lifestyle in the prevention of disease such as cancer. During this time I read many books in the field of nutrition and attended numerous seminars to further fuel my fire….not that I needed it.
I just could not believe how much knowledge there was/is out there about the role of nutrition in not only in the prevention of disease but also the elimination of various diseases.
During my PhD, if someone had told me that there was more to the treatment of cancer than just chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery I would automatically assume they were a "fruit loop". I remember a colleague of mine sharing the work she had done for her thesis in nutrition, entitled "the role of food allergies in arthritis". As we discussed this topic together, it dawned on me that she had spent numerous years doing this research and she knew what she was talking about. She had a reference for every sentence in her thesis and I found it hard to stand my orthodox ground.
I completed a Masters in Human Nutrition in the US and I currently run two practices, one in London & the other in Kingston Surrey. I am also completing my studies in homeopathy at the College of Practical Homeopathy. I see people from various age groups with all types of conditions, ranging from, weight loss, cancer, diabetes, chronic fatigue, multiple sclerosis, attention deficit syndrome, stress, digestive disorders such as acid reflux through to celiac disease, to name a few. I also work with people on maintaining optimal health and improving physical and/or mental performance.
I love seeing people achieve optimal health and pursue their goal in life!
